The year 2009 is shaping up to be a roller coaster ride for our family. Our little Reid is only 5 weeks old and has had a lot of close calls. He was in a car accident when I was 38 weeks pregnant. He was breach then turned around. And recently he stopped breathing for about 30 seconds and turned blue. This happened on Friday morning. I called his pediatrician afterwards and they said to bring him in. The pediatrician seemed to think that he had a seizure so he wanted him admitted to Wolfson's Childrens Hospital for tests. After seeing the attending physician he felt that they should observe him overnight and if he had another episode then we should have the tests run. He was fine all night and they sent us home the next day with a heart/lung monitor. He has not had another episode since and we are praying that this past Friday was just a one time incident. The attending physician felt that it was unlikely that he had a seizure so that was good news. Although we have had so many things happen this year, the Lord has protected us and we are so thankful for his hand in our lives. We are also thankful for everyone's prayers. It is so comforting to know that we have such a strong network of brothers and sisters that are praying for our little family.

PSALM 105
1 Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.

2 Sing to him, sing praise to him;
tell of all his wonderful acts.

3 Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
