Going Nuts

I absolutely LOVE the Peanut Festival, especially now that I have kids. We went last year and EK had a blast so we decided to go again this year. Also it is always good to spend time with my dad and Mrs. Kay. They had a house full...Seth's parents came down from Auburn and Kay's daughter Shera came with her stepson Tristan. My dad's house is so relaxing with the beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Saturday at lunch we were treated to a delicious fish fry from Chef Dad and enjoyed some delectable desserts. My Aunt Vicki and sweet Amy came over for lunch as well as Kay's son W.D. One funny moment was when Amy was introduced to WD. For those of you that don't know, my aunt has Down's Syndrome and is one the MOST precious people I have ever known. And she is really funny too! Mrs. Kay explained what WD's name was short for and Amy introduced herself and said, "Hey, my name is Amy, that is short for Amy." We died laughing! Mr. Reid got some great pictures of her with her Halloween Dracula teeth that I would love for him to send me.

On Saturday evening (Halloween) we headed to the festival. Ella Katherine wasn't that interested in going trick or treating and Reid could care less so we skipped that activity to play at the fair. Reidy did dress up in a horse outfit Seth's parents got him. Ella Katherine gets so excited about the rides and this year she was tall enough to ride all the kiddie ones. She was so brave! I know this picture is a little blurry but hopefully you can see the joy in that precious little face.

It was cold and drizzled off and on so Reidy wasn't too happy to be there until we gave him corn. The way to this baby's heart is through his belly. Look at that red little nose. He is a true Floridian and is not used to the cold. We pigged out on boiled peanuts, corndogs from the Corndog Man, kettle corn, elephant ears, and roasted corn. YUMMY!!! We ran into my brother Ryan and his crew and EK was able to ride some rides with her cousins. I unfortunately didn't get any pictures. Tristan won a huge stuffed dragon!
On this trip we also discovered the key to keeping our busy little boy still. My dad must be a baby whisperer because this is not typical for my little rascal.

Ella Katherine relishes the attention she gets from her Papa. After a trip home I have to bring her back to reality:)
